WHAT’S THE WEBINAR ABOUT?
This webinar, the first in a series, will present an environmental roadmap for data centers. Whether you are building a brand-new facility or attempting to identify potential gaps in your current program, this presentation maps out turn-key environmental planning for a data center from an experienced environmental consultant’s perspective. Future webinars will offer more detail on specific environmental requirements. This session will include a presentation highlighting the environmental considerations at these planning steps and then an opportunity for you to ask your questions.
- Site Selection
- Site Design
- Equipment Selection (and where it intersects with site design)
- Right Permits at the Right Time
- Operations-Focused Environmental Compliance (during Construction and Operations)
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Data center professionals with design, construction, and operations roles. Those with environmental compliance, recordkeeping, and reporting responsibilities (e.g., corporate and site environmental staff, site management, environmental specialists, etc.) will benefit from both this session and future webinars. Construction managers, electrical contractors, generator manufacturers, and vendor representatives, will also find value. Feel free to forward this invitation along to your colleagues.
WHY ATTEND?
Data centers are a relatively new and rapidly growing industry, and companies spend a lot of money to build the perfect site to attract clients. The goal is to balance visitor experience with competitive $/kW pricing, all while remaining focused on their mission to consistently host the world’s internet traffic. Understanding the impact environmental requirements can have on on-site planning, budget planning, construction scheduling, on-time occupancy, and reputation for compliance is crucial. This first session of our webinar series maps out the environmental considerations at each planning step to minimize wasted time, wasted money, headaches, and regrets.
