ALL4 is seeking an experienced Senior Wastewater Engineer with experience in industrial wastewater and other environmental media to work in our Boston Region located in Marlborough, MA. This candidate would be working at the Managing Consultant level within ALL4. An ALL4 Managing Consultant is a technical expert who shares our vision and passion for helping our clients be successful. This individual will have the opportunity to perform challenging wastewater treatment system design, permitting, and consulting work across multiple industries. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, semiconductor, and other manufacturing industries. The Senior Wastewater Engineer will join a team of environmental professionals that are well-versed in complex permitting, compliance, and engineering projects, and who are committed to furthering our vision as a globally recognized consulting company shaping environmental responsibility and creating distinction for employees, clients, and partners. This role is hybrid with an expectation to work in the office 1-2 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Utilize technical expertise to assist and guide facilities through industrial wastewater system design, permitting, compliance, and consulting projects.
- Act as a technical resource and project manager for planning and design activities for new and updated treatment facilities; system troubleshooting and optimization; and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Establish relationships with regulatory organizations in multiple states and provide interpretation, review, and strategic analysis of Federal, state, and local water and wastewater regulations.
- Plan, manage, and execute project tasks, including developing project proposals and plans to determine schedule, budget, and allotment of resources while serving as the client’s primary point of contact.
- Prepare and execute high-level technical and consulting work while mentoring others on how to do the same.
- Monitor and control project activities to achieve project milestones and financial performance objectives.
- Effectively and proactively communicate project information to the team.
- Cultivate and lead projects already under contract and expand business with existing clients.
- Manage annual client revenues as collaboratively determined by the leadership team.
- Responsible for meeting ALL4 profitability targets and personal utilization goals.
- Review client invoices and ensure project opening and closing documentation is completed per the established schedule.
- Implement and monitor project procedures to ensure the quality of project deliverables and attainment of contractual agreements.
- Ensure compliance of projects with ALL4 quality assurance guidelines.
- Responsible for the health and safety component of project fieldwork (e.g., development of onsite health and safety plan).
- Conduct regular meetings with the project team to discuss work status.
- Exhibit ALL4’s core values in all transactions (internally and externally) and mentor junior technical staff.
- May be required to manage staff.
- Demonstrate a high-level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Chemical, Environmental, or Civil Engineering.
- Collective experiences equivalent >10 years of environmental consulting or industry experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration or ability to obtain PE registration is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of the pharmaceutical, biotechnology/biosciences, electronics, semiconductor, metal finishing, hospitals, and/or other industries.
- Familiarity with wastewater sampling, monitoring, and reporting.
- Established relationships with regulatory agencies and/or industrial sector professionals.
- Experience with AutoCAD is preferred.
- Level II Industrial WWTP Operator (MA) licensure or willingness to obtain is preferred.

Salary Range
The salary range for this role is $95,000-$150,000 at the time of posting. Factors taken into consideration when determining actual compensation include, but are not limited to, education, experience, skill set, location, and business or organizational needs. In addition, this role will also be eligible for bonus pay. ALL4 offers a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), tuition reimbursement, and other benefits to eligible employees. Based on the factors described above an applicant may be qualified for an alternate role outside of Managing Consultant. In this case, ALL4 would share the suggested position and associated salary range with the applicant.
